Keratex Hoof Putty 200g

A semi-permanent wax that seals & stabilises hoof separation, plus it prevents grit mud & debris getting jammed into holes & damaging the recovery process. Also disinfects making it the perfect aid to recovery after punctures, abscesses and cavities.

Plug small uninfected holes after thoroughly disinfecting the area, allowing you to turn out straight away when a poultice is not required, or when a poultice has been removed

Often used as an additional shock absorber/comforter when used between the lily pad and frog in those with spring grass related problems.

Simply mould the adhesive putty in clean hands & press into the cavity until you have a dense plug.

Putty will be very hard while in the tin, as it sets to hoof type consistency but will soften in your hands as you mould the shape you require before re-setting once within the hoof.

Keeping the tub at room temperature prior to use or warming it gently in a bowl of warm, not hot water will help removal of the putty from the tin
